But that's not what ships are for.

“A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for.” ~William Shedd

  1. Good entry. While feeling the way you do for him, do you also feel a fear of opening up completely, or do you feel that you can put that guard down and allow open up to this guy? Risky.

  2. I say close your eyes and breathe. Listen to your heart beating, and his. Or your stomachs grumbling... It is amazing we biological creatures are SO self aware that we distract ourselves from the moment at hand. I suppose what I mean to say is to be present; In the moment. No past, no future, just the present. (Even if you only have what seems to you like a short time)

  3. Oh, and about sharing stories... Believe you, me. He is not there with you to be entertained by stories (and I am not being condecending here) he is there to be with the living breathing, flesh and blood YOU. Conversation, stories, observations about life/thoughts will come as you spend more time together, you (plural) will have shared stories to look back on.
