what if?

Him: What if you just believed everything would be okay eventually?

Me: What do you mean? I don't.

Him: No, I mean, what if someone could tell you that they looked into your future and they saw it was good. Not just good but like, really great.

Me: Well, if I could think "well, things suck now but they will only suck for a bit and then they'd be awesome," then yeah, sure. I wouldn't feel bad at all. I'd be able to relax and just enjoy the time to myself.

Him: So why don't you just believe that?

Me: Huh?

Him: I mean, tell yourself that will be the case. And you'll feel good. And that's what matters, right? To feel good?
Hmmm. Just believe it will be okay? Really? Could that even work?

  1. Yes, it can work.
    And definitely worth trying.
If only so we can see the following conversation:
BRAIN: I don't know what the hell's going on.

HEART: We're just enjoying the ride. We know if we're open to it, we will find the happiness we want even if we have some pain along the way

BRAIN: What? We can't believe that.

HEART: Why not? Look at how much more fun and less stress we have now. We know it will fall into place for us.

BRAIN: Now I'm just confused. I'm gonna go hang out with spleen. Hey Spleen!

    SPLEEN: zzzzzzzz

    Or something.

  2. Yes, he's right. And by the way, I am a bona fide fortune teller/psychic and I see very great thing in your future. In fact, you won't be mourning over this breakup for very long at all. There is someone who is a friend who will help take your mind off negative things if you just relax and go with the flow and there is someone else who you haven't met yet that will come along when you're distracted and having fun and he will be someone very special to you though when you first meet him you won't even think that you're going to end up being together but you will really like him and think he's a super nice guy. So...have fun, be sad if you need to, cry a little but don't focus on BB, focus on what's coming up in the near future and focus on being open to possibilities.

P.S. There's something about your vehicle that you've been putting off getting taken care of. Get that done. ;)
